Building Cultures Where High-Impact Women Stay, Advance & Lead Well
When women thrive, organizations thrive. This talk highlights practical culture-shaping strategies leaders can implement to create inclusive, innovative, and equitable workplaces that retain top talent and drive results.
How Women Can Navigate the Workplace, Use Their Influence, and Keep Moving Forward
Dawn equips women at every stage of leadership with practical strategies for navigating influence, visibility, sponsorship, boundaries, and workplace dynamics. Women will learn how to grow their impact, protect their capacity, and lead authentically—without exhausting themselves or becoming someone they’re not.
Lead with More Clarity, Confidence, and Emotional Intelligence
Great leadership starts with knowing yourself. In this keynote, Dawn helps women recognize the strengths, patterns, emotional triggers, and inner narratives shaping how they lead—especially under pressure. Participants learn to regulate their responses, communicate with clarity, and lead from grounded confidence rather than perfectionism, people-pleasing, or the constant need to prove themselves.
Great leaders (and thriving workplaces) come not from squeezing more output, but from tapping into the very things that make us human.
Self-awareness, equity, empathy, resilience, and vision. This inspirational talk celebrates our shared worth and will build your team's motivation: recognizing dignity and equity — every voice matters, especially women whose contributions are often overlooked.
Format: Keynote: 45–60 minutes
Interactive Workshop: 75 minutes–3 hours
Leadership Team Session: Customized for executive teams
This program is perfect for:
CEOs, senior executives, CHROs, talent leaders, boards, and leadership teams concerned about retaining and advancing high-impact women—especially organizations where talented women are carrying significant responsibility, burning out, stalling before the next level, or quietly deciding that advancement is no longer worth the cost.
It is particularly valuable when an organization is asking, “Why are we losing good women when we have strong policies, development programs, and competitive compensation?”
The audience will leave with:
A practical way to identify the pressures, hidden drains, and missing supports that make leadership unnecessarily costly for high-impact women.
Specific actions leaders can take to strengthen sponsorship, authority, capacity, flexibility, fair systems, and other supports that increase the likelihood women will stay and advance.
Program Description
Organizations rarely lose their strongest women because those women suddenly lack ambition or capability. More often, expectations have grown faster than the support underneath them.
Using Dawn’s Leadership Cake Framework, participants examine three layers of the leadership experience: what the organization is asking women to carry, what is quietly consuming their capacity, and whether the supports underneath them are strong enough to sustain the load.
Dawn moves the conversation beyond “fixing women” or offering another resilience program. Leaders learn to recognize conditions such as responsibility without authority, invisible labor, inadequate sponsorship, constant proving, overloaded roles, and flexibility that exists on paper but carries a career penalty. They then identify the structural, relational, and leadership supports that can change those conditions.
The result is a practical conversation about retention that executives can act on: What are we asking our high-impact women to carry—and have we built enough underneath them to help them stay, grow, and lead well?
Keynote: 45–60 minutes
Interactive Workshop: 75 minutes–3 hours
Women Leading Boldly Learning Cohort: 50-minute sessions across the year for deeper practice, peer learning, and sustained growth
This program is perfect for:
Women at every stage of leadership who want to succeed in workplaces that were not always designed with their realities in mind.
It is particularly useful for women navigating increased visibility, difficult workplace dynamics, competing expectations, caregiving demands, career decisions, sponsorship gaps, challenging personalities, or the question, “How do I keep succeeding here without exhausting myself or becoming someone I’m not?”
This program is also an excellent investment for employers, women’s ERGs, and leadership-development teams that want to help talented women stay engaged, grow their influence, and see a sustainable future within the organization.
The audience will leave with:
Practical strategies for navigating influence, visibility, relationships, boundaries, sponsorship, workplace dynamics, and the unwritten rules that can shape women’s advancement.
A clearer understanding of what belongs to her to navigate—and what should not become another burden she is expected to carry alone.
Program Description:
Women receive plenty of advice about how to succeed at work: speak up, find a mentor, negotiate, be confident, set boundaries, take the stretch assignment.
Some of that advice is useful. But women are also navigating workplace realities that cannot be solved through confidence alone.
Dawn brings both sides of that equation together. Women learn how to read a room without shrinking in it, build relationships without becoming responsible for everyone in them, seek sponsorship rather than advice alone, communicate with confidence, protect capacity, take appropriate risks, and distinguish between a personal growth opportunity and an organizational condition that needs to change.
This session equips women to become more skillful navigators of the workplace while refusing the message that they must simply work harder, become tougher, or endlessly adapt themselves to succeed.
The goal is not merely to help women survive demanding workplaces. It is to help them stay grounded in who they are, use their full giftedness, and lead with greater influence and freedom.
Format
Keynote: 45-60 minutes
Interactive Workshop: 75 minutes-3 hours
This program is perfect for
Women leaders, emerging leaders, high-potential talent, women's leadership programs, and organizations that want to develop and retain talented women. Especially useful for accomplished women who overthink, over-function, adapt too much to others, or spend enormous energy trying to lead "the right way."
The audience will leave with:
Greater awareness of the strengths, patterns, emotional triggers, and inner narratives that shape how they lead and how others experience them.
Practical ways to regulate themselves, make clearer choices, communicate more intentionally, and lead from confidence rather than constant proving.
Program Description
Self-awareness shapes how leaders communicate, make decisions, handle pressure, and influence others.
In this engaging session, Dawn connects self-awareness and emotional intelligence to real leadership impact. Participants explore the strengths and patterns that serve them well, what shows up under pressure, and how perfectionism, people-pleasing, over-responsibility, or self-protection can quietly begin making decisions for them.
This is not about becoming more polished or accommodating. Self-awareness gives leaders more choice, not more rules - helping women respond intentionally, communicate with clarity, and use emotional intelligence as a strategic advantage.
Workshops can be designed from any of Dawn's signature talks with the additional offering of
both an Enneagram team workshop and a specialized EQ & Decision-making workshop.
